Jakarta Offers Support to Family of Teacher Killed in East Bekasi Train Crash

Jakarta Provincial Government expressed its condolences over a KRL commuter line accident in East Bekasi on Monday (4/27) night. One of the victims who died in the incident was Nurlela, a teacher at SDN Pulogebang 11, East Jakarta.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has instructed officials to provide assistance to the victim's family, including funeral arrangements and psychological support.

"Governor Pramono Anung extends his deepest condolences over the passing of Ms. Nurlela. Under his instruction, the Jakarta Provincial Government will fully support the victim's family, both in handling the funeral and providing psychological support," said the governor's special staff member, Chico Hakim, on Tuesday (4/28).

The governor described Nurlela as a highly dedicated teacher who contributed to nurturing the nation's future generations.

The Jakarta administration said it will maintain close coordination with all relevant parties to ensure the incident is handled quickly, properly, and transparently

"The Jakarta administration extends its gratitude to all parties involved in the post-accident response and asks for prayers and support so the victim's family may be given strength," Chico added.

Head of the Jakarta Education Agency, Nahdiana, also expressed condolences, describing Nurlela as a devoted teacher.

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ms. Nurlela, one of our dedicated teachers. On behalf of the entire Jakarta Education Agency, we extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family," she said.
